Blue Lotus is a lovely family-run guesthouse just a stone’s throw away from the Saqqara necropolis. It is run by Bakr Fahmy and his wife Sanaa, who is in charge of the kitchen. They offer a range of traditional home-grown and prepared rural food, which can be enjoyed in their quiet garden which features idyllic ponds with floating blue lotus flowers.
