A landmark in Dahshur, and it would be a shame not to make a quick visit if you are in the area. Stop by and take in the splendor of these ancient structures in the early morning before the heat of the desert becomes oppressive.
Visit Handicrafts NGO & the Countryside Kitchen
Make a quick stop to visit the handicrafts workshop for halfa and
greed products, produced by a group of ladies and organized by local NGOs which serve the community. Also swing by the rural kitchen in Dahshur, founded by Visit Badrashin! to support the preparation and sale of farm-to-table rural food and date products. This is crucial for the preservation of the authentic tastes and cuisine of the area.

Lunch & Tea at Nour Farm
After the exploration in the desert, a visit to this charming family-run farm set in the middle of Dahshur’s fertile and lush fields will be most welcome.

Walking Tour in Open Fields
What is more relaxing and enjoyable than reconnecting with nature on a walking tour surrounded by fields, animals and the simplicity of mud brick buildings?
Dahshur is known for its massive scale of date production, so expect to see farmers pruning their trees or working the harvest in Spring/Fall. In the summer months, you should see a variety of different date types sprouting under the fronds and enjoy a range of changing colors. Sunset at King Farouk Lake
King Farouk Lake, also known as Berket el-Malek or Berket Dahshur is one of the only such surviving ecosystems in Middle Egypt and is a pitstop for over a hundred species of migratory birds.
Surrounded by halfa grass used by local women in their basket weaving and handicrafts, this scenic spot offers the perfect setting to enjoy a glorious sunset against the backdrop of the pyramids in peace and tranquility.
Back to Cairo
Depending on the length of the tour you selected, you will return to Cairo from Nour Farm or from the lake. Make sure to drink one last cup of sweetened tea before you head back!
